Thanks for the quick reply!

I have a normal job, poker is a nice hobby, so I can afford a new deposit every now and then, but I'd rather be able to get to not needing it, and make some nice money on the side.
What level would you suggest changing? I have set my buffer at 10%, maybe that will take care of it a little?
Also, I have rakeback on Tilt, could you implement a field in the spreadsheet for rakeback? How do you organise this yourself?

Thanks again for the quick reply!Annaleena & Frodehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12328882520705743933noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1147658610731565923.post-57805167430605094522011-05-03T00:38:06.833-04:002011-05-03T00:38:06.833-04:00Annaleena & Frode,
First, did you mean 0.01/0...Annaleena & Frode,

First, did you mean 0.01/0.02 not 0.01/0.01? There shouldn't be any reason for it to display 0.01/0.01. If it does there's something seriously wrong. If that's the case change the sharing settings on your spreadsheet and email me the link using the Contact link in the top menu of this site.

Current Stakes is determined by the #Big Blinds Per Level setting, your current bankroll and the safety factor. If you want to move up whenever you have 5 buyins, which sounds like what you're trying to do?, for the next level set that value to 500.

If the 0.01/0.01 above was a typo I guess that's the issue you're having. If your normal buy-in is 100 big blinds multiply however many buy-ins you want by 100 before you move up in stakes.

If you look at the Worksheet sheet the Max BR column will tell you how much your bankroll needs to be for next stake level.

It's a little confusing because that worksheet isn't meant to be used. So on the 0.01/0.02 line if it says Max BR $25 that means your bankroll needs to be $25 before Current Stakes will change to 0.02/0.05.

The chips in play messages can be a little confusing and may be a little off. It's more of a guide. It adjusts your current bankroll based on how much you've won.

Play around with the $Big Blinds Per Level and Safety Factor to see how different settings affect the Max BR in the Workesheet and try to get the the Max BR to look like what you want.

Let me know if that helps. If not please let me know all the bankroll rules you have set.MicroRollerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08859061638087303080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1147658610731565923.post-56756973500805365792011-05-02T20:02:07.237-04:002011-05-02T20:02:07.237-04:00I have a couple of questions:

I'll include it when I post the others but It might not have all the same features.

For low buy-in single table SnGs a good rule of thumb is to have at least 20 buy-ins. As you move up in stakes add around 25%.

You can expect higher variance in the two table turbo SnGs you're playing so you want to give yourself a few more buyins to work with. Maybe 25-30. I don't play turbos regularly so you might want to confirm this advice elsewhere.

A lot depends on your winrate as well. If you're barely profitable you want to give yourself a bigger cushion than if you have a killer roi.

One thing to remember is that just because you have the bankroll to play a certain stake doesn't mean you have to play that high. You want to move up to make more money but when you do the games get a little harder so keep your ability and the speed at which you can adapt to higher stakes in mind.

Hope that helps.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1147658610731565923.post-25830636257321479052010-03-24T12:32:56.132-04:002010-03-24T12:32:56.132-04:00Wow, Micro, this is very helpful information. Than...Wow, Micro, this is very helpful information. Thank you so much, first of all, for doing this challenge! I am a young poker player just looking to really start to build my bankroll after a few years of ups and downs, and I am so excited to have stumbled upon this through Daniel's Twitter!!

I do have one question, though. I love to play low-buy in SnGs on Pokerstars (the 1.75 18-players, etc.). I find that I'm consistently successful in them, often cashing, and sometimes winning/placing very high, and I was wondering what advice you would give me as to factor that enjoyment and success into this BR strategy? Thanks again for your hard work and good luck on the felt!!Nathannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1147658610731565923.post-46682121591005322852010-03-16T20:00:17.529-04:002010-03-16T20:00:17.529-04:00New Version 1.2 is out.
